Sushil Koirala for reconstruction of state

Nepalgunj October 3:

Vice-president of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, today stressed the need for reconstruction of the state on the basis of political, economic, social and cultural equality for the benefit of the country and its people.

Speaking at an interaction organised here today by the Banke district committee of the party, he said: “We need to be united for establishing peace and political stability and to be engaged in the movement for designing a new Nepal.

He further emphasised the need of unity between political parties and Nepalese people to create an environment where nobody is required to struggle for democracy again.

Stating the unity and reconciliation as the paths for political consensus, he urged the Maoists to engage in political competition abandoning arms and ammunition.

“Other issues can be resolved after the management of arms,” Koirala said, and advised the Maoists not to seek alternative of parliament.

He said the activists of two congresses are in favour of unity and the process for unification has come to its near end. Chairman of the Nepali Congress, Banke, Krishna Man Shrestha also spoke on the occasion.
