District Police Office Tanahun was declared an excellent police office in the western region today.

Beating 15 district police offices of the region, Tanahun was announced excellent on the basis of its performance in the current fiscal’s half-yearly report.

SP Umeshraj Joshi of Tanahun said the district police office was announced the best on the basis of half-yearly objective evaluation of the current fiscal.

Monitoring and supervision carried out by Western Regional Police Office announced Tanahun as ‘excellent’. The district was declared the best due to its big accomplishment in crime control and investigation, policing, administrative management and arrest of fugitives.

Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police Kamal Singh Bam gave away a certificate and cash prize of Rs 1,500 to Tanahun Police Chief SP Joshi.

SP Joshi said that though the amount was paltry it was a great to be declared excellent in the western region.
