DAMAULI: A two-year-old boy choked to death while eating a banana in Mirlung village of Tanahun on Sunday.

Teling Adhikario, son of Sangita Adhikari, was having the fruit at his maternal uncle’s home in Aarubot, Mirlung-6 of the district.

Sangita was a resident of Satiswora-2 in Tanahun district.

According to District Police Office of Tanahun, the child was declared dead while he was taken to the Moti Medical Hall in Dumre for treatment at around 2 am in the wee hours of Monday.

Preparations are underway to take the body to the Damauli Hospital for autopsy.
