DAMAULI: Police said they have arrested two teenage girls, one of them an Indian national, in possession of 5.52 grams of brown sugar from Traffic Chok of Byas Municipality in Tanahun district on Tuesday.

One of the suspects, who is from India is 19-year-old, while the other 18-year-old girl hails from Byas Municipality-10, police said.

According Inspector Bijaya Raj Pandit at the Tanahun District Police Office, the duo were held after police discovered narcotics in their purses.

They were presented before the District Court and remanded in custody for investigation.
