Three armymen shot at

Nawalparasi, March 11:

Maoists shot at and injured three unarmed security personnel and torched their vehicle at Swathi chowk of Swathi VDC on Tanka Prasad road at around 9 am today.

The Royal Nepalese Army personnel Jamdar Bhimsen Karki of Durgabhanjan Gulma, Parasi, Hawaldar Madhav Thapa, and traffic head constable Purna Bahadur Oli, were fired upon at the chowk after being forced off the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 807).

Karki and Thapa are said to be in critical condition while Oli suffered injuries to his hand.

The injured were rushed to the Prithvi Chandra Hospital in Parasi. Thapa and Karki were later airlifted to Kathmandu after their condition deteriorated.
