DAMAK: A father and son were killed when a goods-laden truck bearing Indian registration hit a motorcycle (Ko 33 Pa 7945) at Damak Chowk in Jhapa.

Police confirmed deaths of Dhana Prasad Giri, 63, of Pathari Sanischare municipality-9, Morang and his son Hemchandra, 29, in the accident.

According to Police Inspector Khagendra Yekten, both were severely injured in the accident died amidst treatment at the local Lifeline Hospital. Police have impounded the Indian truck (HR 27J 0625) and detained its driver.

Meanwhile, a woman died when a bus hit a motorcycle at Sakhuwannarkatii Rural Municipality-3 in Lahan along the Lahan Thadi road section. The deceased has been identified as Jumeda Khatun, 35, of Surunga municipality-5, Saptari.
