KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 13

Three sisters of the same family who are on their mission to set a world record by climbing the highest mountains of all 7 continents, successfully Mt. Elbrus, the highest mountain of Europe.

According to Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, Managing Director at Imagine Nepal Treks, Nima Jangmu, Tshering Namgya & Dawa Futi Sherpa from Rolwaling valley under the campaign "Three Sisters on Seven Summit" stood atop the 5642-metre peak on Saturday at around 3:15 local time.

The three sisters began their mission by climbing Mt Everest in 2021. They also created a history in the country by climbing Mt Everest together. "They are the world's first three sisters to reach the top of the mountain together," Sherpa added.

According to Sherpa, they will now attempt kilimanjaro and Aconcagua. The expedition was organised by Imagine Nepal Treks and Expedition Pvt Ltd. Among them, Nima Jangmu Sherpa also holds the record of Fastest Triple Header of 3 Higher 8000ers under Female category. She had climbed Everest, Lhotse and Kanchenjunga in a single season within 25 days in 2018 and also become the only Nepali woman to stand atop the world's third-highest peak.

Dawa Futi, the youngest member among them, had climbed Amadablam while Tshering Namgya took an Introductory Rock Climbing course and Basic Mountain Rescue course organized by NMIA. Before attempting other peaks, they had also climbed Lobuche peak. "They are doing it to pay tribute to their late father Dorjee Sherpa."
