Three teachers of a school have been implicated in sexual abuse of their students in Makawanpur's Purbi Bagmati Rural Municipality.
FIRs have been filed against teachers of Janata Secondary School of Phaparbari in Purbi Bagmati Rural Municipality by guardians of the alleged sexual abuse victims.
District Police Office Makawanpur's acting Spokesperson Devendra Das confirmed the filing of FIRs against teachers Lok Bahadur BK, Rudra Bahadur BK and Hem Bahadur BK. Three guardians of four abuse victims had filed the FIRs against the teachers.
Meanwhile, the teachers in question are said to be on leave from school and apparently at large though police have said preparations are on to arrest them.
Earlier on Tuesday, students at the school had vandalised the school building citing the abuse of female students by the three teachers and expressing their dissatisfaction with the school's failure to take action even after being informed about the teachers' indecent behaviour.
Though there was a meeting of school, guardians, school management and political party representatives at the school on Tuesday to discuss the application filed by the students about the abuse of girls by teachers.
Later, expressing their dissatisfaction with the discussion, the students resorted to vandalism. Students have accused the teachers in question of touching them inappropriately.
