DHANGADHI, FEBRUARY 14

A person has lost her life following a tiger attack in Gauriganga Municipality-5 of Kailali district, on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Kala Dhami, 25, of Andaiya in the municipality, according to the Kailali District Police Office (DPO).

Dhami was dragged by a Royal Bengal tiger in course of cutting grass in the forest. The dead body of the woman was recovered at a nearby location in the forest, stated spokesperson at the DPO Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pratik Bista.

Incidents of tiger attack are being frequently witnessed in the locality. On Friday, a 29-year-old woman too had sustained injuries consequential to tiger attack in Kailari Rural Municipality-8 of the district.
