After the removal of the protesters and their tents, an empty truck left Birgunj for Raxaul while dozens of vehicles including containers entered Nepal.

A number of carts loaded with various goods also entered Nepal.

Spokesperson at the Birgunj Customs Office, Sushil Sharma, confirmed entry of as many as 92 vehicles.

It had already been 135 days that the border was blocked by the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front, protesting the newly promulgated Constitution, since September 24.
