Two-way movement restored following repeated landslides at Tuinkhola; authorities urge caution
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26
Vehicular movement along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section resumed Thursday night after being obstructed for a total of 105 hours over the past week due to frequent landslides at Tuinkhola, officials said.
Narayan Lamichhane, chief of the Chitwan Division Road Office, confirmed that two-way traffic is now operating smoothly following the clearance of debris. "The road remains vulnerable to mudslides during rain and dry landslides in sunny conditions. While there is no immediate danger, travelers should exercise caution," he advised.
Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal reported that all stranded vehicles were cleared and sent to their destinations Thursday night, restoring normal traffic flow for vehicles traveling through Chitwan.
Authorities continue to monitor the site, emphasizing the need for careful driving on the landslide-prone stretch.
