LAMJUNG: A minor girl lost her life after a truck hit and killed her at Akala Temple in Sundar Bazaar Municipality on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as 7-year-old Karuna Giri of Balithung of Sundar Bazaar.

The truck (Ba 2 Ka 1976) en route to Dumre from Besi Sahar welted the child at 2:00 pm killing her on the spot, police informed.

Law enforcement officer detained the truck driver and impounded the vehicle following the incident.
