Two arrested for murder attempt from Janakpur
DHANUSHA: Two men were arrested from Mujhelia of Dhanusha district for allegedly trying to murder a man on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Gautam Kumar Jha aka Subhas of Dharmatole in Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City was attacked with a sharp weapon in his neck. The cut was deep enough to critically injure Jha.
DSP Manoj Kumar Yadav informed that arrestees, Firoz Rain and Sukar Rain, had attacked Jha following a dispute in a transaction between them at Mujhelia of the district.
According to the Dhanusha District Police Office, the duo left Jha injured thinking he was dead but, the latter reached the bazaar area and managed to ask for help.
Jha was unable to speak when the police had arrived at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital, where he was receiving treatment, to collect his statement regarding the incident, police added.
He, however, informed the police about the attackers in writing.
Jha has been airlifted to a hospital in Kathmandu as treatment was not possible in the Hospital.
Based on Jha's statement, police said they arrested the Rain duo from their house.
Police are further investigating into the case.
