NUWAKOT: A pedestrian succumbed to injuries when a bus en route from Trishuli to Kathmandu hit him in Battarbajar of Nuwakot district.

The deceased has been identified as Ishwari Lal Shrestha (75), a permanent resident of Bidur Municipality-3 at Nuwakot district.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ba 7 Kha 798) traveling from Trishuli to Kathmandu hit Shrestha in Battarbajar road side.

Shrestha breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Nuwakot City hospital, informed Basanta Kunwar, Chief at Nuwakot District Police Office.

Police have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle, Police said.

Further investigation into the case is underway.

Likewise, a motorist died on the spot when a mini-truck (Ba 3 Kha 6667) traveling from Devighat to Galchi rammed a motorbike (Ba 70 Pa 4427) in Ratmate at Nuwakot district.

Police have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle, Police said.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
