RATNANAGAR, CHITWAN: Police in Chitwan district reportedly arrested two Indian nationals along with over 86 kilogrammes of marijuana on Tuesday.

The arrested have been identified as Naresh Kumar Prasad (24) and Nikesh Kumar (19) of Gopigunj of Motihari district, India.

According to Chitwan’s police chief, Superintendent of Police (SP) Deepak Thapa, police seized contraband marijuana in the vehicle bearing an Indian registration number (JH 01N 8611) from the possession of duo in Bharatpur yesterday. The duo were reportedly smuggling the banned drugs to India via Birgunj.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
