Kavre, January 17

Two children died and two others were injured after a wall of Bir Hanuman Brick Industry collapsed at Panchkhal Municipality in Kavre today.

The deceased have been identified as Jenisha, 3, daughter of Gyan Bahadur Pariyar of Gangadevi Rural Municipality and the 11-year-old son of Nabin BK of Marigaun Rural Municipality of Rolpa.

Police said the minors died on the way to Dhulikhel Hospital.

The injured have been identified as Jharana Gharti, 3, of Marigaun Rural Municipality, Rolpa and Sita Paswan, 35, of Darbanga, India.

Police said that Sita received a deep cut on her chest. She has been receiving treatment in the same hospital, said police.

Police said that a brick’s wall  around 10 feet tall had fallen on the children when they were playing at the same place where their parents were working.

The brick industry was operated by Sanu Koju of Bhaktapur.

Further investigation into the incident is under way, said police.
