BAJURA: Two persons died on the spot and nine others sustained injuries after a jeep veered off the road some 300 metres down at Bhaumera in Gaumul Rural Municipality in Bajura district on Sunday.

Bajura District Police Office said the ill-fated jeep (Se 1 Ja 639) was heading to Gaumul Rural Municipality from Martadi, district headquarters, this afternoon.

Police identified the deceased as Lali Rokya (45) and Rocket Rokya (21) of Gaumul Rural Municipality-6 in the district.

DSP Dal Bahadur Bogati said two injured persons are said to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the injured have been sent to the Bayalpata-based hospital in Aacham district for treatment, informed the police.
