Sankhuwasabha, August 25:

A woman died of typhoid while undergoing treatment in Khandbari-based Sankhuwasabha District Hospital last night.

Sharada Purkutti, 26, of Khandbari-1, was admitted to the hospital a week ago, acting chief at the hospital Rudra Prasad Marasini said. According to the hospital, a number of patients suffering from typhoid, pneumonia and dysentery have been on the rise for one week.

“As 20 beds in the hospital are not sufficient, we are forced to treat patients on the floor,” Dr Pradip Prasad Subedi said.
