BHOJPUR: UCPN Maoist claimed that a former lawmaker and district party Chairman Sudan Kiranti had not demanded money from a staff of the District Development Committee, Bhojpur.

Organising a press conference in the party office on Tuesday, the party said that some elements were hatching a conspiracy to defame the party and to cover up their own crimes.

Saying that all the politial parties run their business from the funds raised from the party and voluntary donations, Kirant denied the allegation and claimed that he had not asked money from Raju Shiwakot, a staff at the District Development Committee, Bhojpur.

He urged Shiwakot to resume his works to maintain social and cultural harmony.

Meanwhile, the party informed that it has removed Tirtha Parajuli from the party over his alleged involvement in threatning people over phone.
