UDMF activists erected makeshift tents and held demonstrations at Sukdev Chowk, Shivnagar, Jaynagar, Garuda, Birta, Sakhuwa, Dumriya chowk obstructing vehicular movement.

UDMF activists said they intensified their agitation as smuggling of essential commodities, including petroleum products, to the capital from the Tarai has increased in recent days. Fuel stations across the border have worn a deserted look after the front stepped up protests after the end of Dashain festival.
