UML decries ANNFSU student leaders’ arrest
Dhading, October 28:
The unified security forces have arrested several student leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal-UML-affiliated All Nepal National Free Students’Union (ANNFSU), including district president Nawaraj Chhatkuli.
According to CPN-UML Dhading district secretary Guru Prasad Burlakoti, the unified security forces of Khahare, Tripureshwor VDC-based unified security base camp arrested them yesterday.
The student leaders had gone to north Dhading to visit secondary schools in the course of their “Democratic Awareness Campaign Programme”.
The security forces also arrested district vice-president of ANNFSU Madhav Bhandari, secretary Shailendra Adhikari and member Hari Thapa.
“Student leaders went there after informing the local administration but even then the security forces arrested them. Our party condemns such incidents,” said Burlakoti.
