ONCE OVER

BARA, FEBRUARY 08

A group of unidentified people killed Baijanath Kuswaha's wife Kanti Devi, 48, with a sharp weapon in Mahagadhimai Municipality, Bara, on Sunday night.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra said that Kanti Devi was murdered with a sharp weapon.

She has received bruises on her throat and cheek. Kanti's sons and daughter are studying in Kathmandu.

Her husband Baijanath was away from home when the incident took place.

A sniffer dog was brought from Province Police Office, Janakpur, to probe the incident, but it was not been able to trace the perpetrators.

"Police are interrogating Kanti Devi's neighbours and relatives," said DSP Mishra.
