Vice President to inaugurate Scout jamboree

BIRATNAGAR: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun would be inaugurating the Third Regional Scout Jamboree being held in Biratnagar from October 13.

As many as 3,500 scout children representing different 35 districts will take part in the five-day jamboree, shared the organiser at a press conference.

“Scout children aged 13-16 are participating in the jamboree and all the preparations to that end are complete,” shared regional coordinator of the host organisation, Shiva Kumar Poudel.

Poudel further informed that the main objective of the conference is to demonstrate the adventurous, cultural and entertainment related talents of the participating children and strengthen brotherhood and national unity.

The jamboree will be held on the premises of Mahendra Morang Campus in Biratnagar.

Earlier, the jamboree was held in Dharan and Jhapa.
