KATHMANDU, APRIL 9

Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu recently hosted 'Virtual Thai Education Fair in Nepal'. The fair that had started in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic has finally come to an end.

According to the embassy's statement, they had to change the modality of the fair from physical to virtual in view of the current situation.

Following the past trend of the event, the fair aimed to provide objective information to parents, guardians and students about the educational opportunities in Thailand.

Ten higher education institutions, including Assumption University, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Mae Fah Luang University, Dhurakij Pundit University, Prince of Songkla University, Suranaree University of Technology, Walailak University, Asian Institute of Technology, Dusit Thani College and Chulalongkorn University from Thailand, took part in the fair.

Representatives from different Thai universities/colleges shared information about a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, admission procedure and scholarship opportunities for Nepalese students through Facebook live sessions. During the fair, students and parents had access to hold an in-depth interaction with the participating universities and colleges through Facebook messages and comments.

The organiser team said the virtual fair was successful in connecting more than 10,000 Nepali students with Thai universities and colleges.

They further suggested the prospective students to watch the recorded live sessions and get updated information about Thai Education from Facebook page 'Thai Education Fair 2021' (www.facebook.com/ thaieducationfairinnepal 2021).
