VP made right decision: Yadav

BIRGUNJ: Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Upendra Yadav, today said that Vice President Paramananda Jha made a right decision by denying to take oath in Nepali language.

Speaking at a programme at Hotel Brindaban, Yadav said, “Jha respected the freedom of language by denying the Apex Court’s order.” He also accused the government of devaluing the linguistic freedom of people.

VP Jha had vacated the

office, without resigning from his post yesterday.

Yadav also chastised some Madhes based parties as they

had suggested the VP to take

oath in Nepali.

Stating that the apex court’s decision regarding the VP was not constitutional, Yadav added, “The decision is full of bias. “The Supreme Court has no right to approve or cancel the oath of the country’s vice president.”
