KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 21
The weather has improved throughout the country with the withdrawal of the rain-causing system from the eastern part. Most of the areas across the country including Kathmandu Valley have witnessed sunny weather since the morning today.
According to Senior meteorologist Barun Poudel, another weather system will not likely develop in four or five days from now. The combined influence of the low pressure system over Bihar of India and the westerly system had caused heavy rainfall from October 17 to 20.
Although this rain-causing system has exited at present, its general influence is witnessed in Nepal. "Such system leaves behind water vapour and moisture. That's why clouds are seen in some places and fog in some places. There are also chances of intermittent rain at some places," he said, adding that this will however not make big impact.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country with light rainfall taking place at one or two places of Province 1 and Bagmati province. There is possibility of light rain at a few places of Province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places of the rest of the provinces.
