GAIGHAT: A woman was found dead at a maize field in Triyuga Municipality-2 of Udayapur district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Manju Sada (27) of Triyuga Municipality-3, Chief of the District Police Office, Udaypur, Tek Bahadur Gurung said.

Police was informed by a local woman who saw her lying dead this morning.

Manju had reportedly left home for Kathmandu ten days ago. She had since been reported missing.

Further investigation to find out the reason behind the death is underway, police said.
