YCL attack on RPP meet
Baglung, May 27:
Cadres of the Young Communist League (YCL) today intervened in a meet of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and beat up party cadres.
“At least 12 RPP leaders were injured when YCL cadres beat up participants of the meeting after intervening in the RPP’s district-level programme,” party sources said, adding that the YCL men accused the participants of being royalists.
The YCL cadres also tarred the faces of some RPP leaders. “The incident is condemnable as the RPP has joined the interim parliament and the word monarchy is not in the party’s statute,” said Madhu Risal, central trainer of the party. YCL cadres also manhandled journalist Durga Sharma.
