HETAUDA, AUGUST 18
A youth died after the scooter he was riding met with an accident near Campadanda in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-5, Makawanpur, on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred near the fish farming centre along the Kantirajpath road section. Local residents who had gone for a morning walk spotted the accident and informed the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
Preliminary investigation showed that the scooter, bearing registration number Madhesh Province 03-028 Pa 9789, lost control and fell into a water-filled drain on the northeastern side of the road.
The rider, identified as Awas Ranjitkar, a permanent resident of Banepa Municipality-3, Kavre, who was currently living in Chaughada, died at the scene, police said.
Following the incident, an additional police team led by Makawanpur Superintendent of Police Shyam Bahadur Chhetri was deployed to the accident site.
The District Police Office, Makawanpur, said further investigation into the incident is underway.
