BAITADI: A youth was stabbed to death in Darchula on Monday.

Ganesh Kunwar (22) of Api Municipality–4 was reportedly attacked with a knife on his abdomen by a gang of three persons yesterday night.

Police said that they have arrested Dhirendra Kunwar (27), Ramesh Kunwar (17) and Umesh Kunwar (16) of Api Municipality – 4 for their alleged involvement in the attack.

Inspector Rana Bahadur Chand of the District Police Office (DPO), Darchula informed that Kunwar was rushed to the Darchula District Hospital, shortly after the incident and was later referred to India for further treatment.

He, however, breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

The incident occurred after a game of deuda between two groups went sour and turned into a brawl.

Police have filed a murder case against the trio and started further investigation into the incident.
