Police today made public two youths arrested on the charge of murdering their relative in Siraha.
The arrested have been identified as Bishnu Yadav, 27, and his relative Indra Dev Singh Yadav, 24.
They face the charge of killing Shiv Kumar Yadav, 24, of Mirchaiya Municipality, Siraha. Shiv Kumar's father is Bishnu's uncle.
Bishnu admitted to police that he had murdered Shiv Kumar to take revenge on him and his family over past animosity. "Bishnu has admitted to the police that he murdered Shiv Kumar for vengeance," said DSP Rajendra Shrestha.
Shiv Kumar was murdered and his body was hidden in a house located at Mirchaiya Municipality on March 20. The body was found the next day.
Following the murder, Bishnu and Indradev had called the deceased's family from a mobile number seeking ransom on March 21. "Police nabbed the culprits based on the mobile numbers used in and around the incident site," said DSP Shrestha.
As many as 80 people were interrogated for their suspected involvement in the crime.
