KATHMANDU: The organiser of Miss Nepal, The Hidden Treasure, on Wednesday called for applications from interested female candidates to participate in the Miss Nepal pageant 2009. In a press statement issued today Hidden Treasure has said that the winner of this year’s pageant would be the first Miss Nepal of the Federal Democratic Republic Nepal. The organiser has further said that the winners will be participating in different pageants organised in the international level as it offers the authentic platform for Nepali women for access to Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth and Miss Asia Pacific International.

According to the organiser interested unmarried female candidates of age 19 to 25 years, height 5 feet 4 inches and Intermediate graduates could compete in the pageant after filling an application form no later than August 28, Friday. The application form can be downloaded from the official website of Miss Nepal, www.missnepal.com.np

The contest was halted since last year (08) as the women’s organisation affiliated to the UCPN-Maoist protested against the contest.
