KATHMANDU: Charles Sobhraj was sentenced to another year in prison on charges of violating immigration laws on Thursday.

Patan Appellate Court judges Mohan Prasad Ghimire and Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada passed the judgement based on evidence that established that his entry into Nepal in 1975 was illegal as he used the passport of Henricus Bintanja, a Dutch tourist. He was also fined NRS 2000 for the crime.
