DANG, NOVEMBER 7
Eight persons were killed while scores sustained injuries after the passenger bus they were travelling on fell below the road in Khapurkot Rural Municipality of Salyan, today.
According to police, the incident occurred whent he bus (Na 2 Kha 2552), en route to Tulasipur skidded off the road and fell some 200 metres below at Kharkhola, killing six on the spot and two at a hospital.
The identity of the deceased including two is children is yet to be known.
According to Superintendent of Police Gobinda Thapa, several of the injured being treated at hospitals in the district and Tulasipur in Dang are in critical condition.
It has been reported that there were 40 passengers in the bus at the time of the incident.
