Life without music

What would life be without music? The world would be a very quiet place. Our life without melodies and harmonies would be totally empty. Listening to and playing different tunes help us to remove stress, relax, and it can also help motivate us in trying times. Music has the ability to convey all sorts of emotions. It can be a way to deliver messages, a fine art, or nothing more than a source of entertainment.

The effect that music can have on our emotions is tremendous, as it can bring people to floods of tears or bursts of laughter. The musical images that music and songs are able to create are amazing. Music has the ability to transport us back in time just like a time machine. It lets us revisit lost and forgotten moments in life.

Once I hit my teenage years music became my life and gradually started inhibiting my soul. I feel that this applies to the saying “music imitates life and life imitates music”. Music affects people in many different ways. It brings us closer to our families and friends. Soothing music has always been known to relieve stress, but sound therapy goes a step further by promoting sound as a way of alternating the body’s frequency waves to promote healing. Music has its own magic to consolidate the connection between people. Listening to music together brings us together.

Every country has its own national anthems. We put our hand on our chest and sing along. Music is an art that appeals to the conscious mind, but the best music also appeals to the subconscious. That music has magical power is testified by the fact that Orpheus, ancient Greek legendary musician, could make stones dance to his music. The stories of Tansen and Baiju Bawra are not unknown to us. They could light lamps, blossom flowers in autumn, cause rain just by the accurate use of the tone. Music has miraculous powers for treating certain mental ailments such as abnormal excitement or depression. Love for music is a characteristic, not only of man but of nearly all living creatures, including trees. The moment musical notes softly enter our ears; they rouse the dormant love for it.

No achievement can be as great as the emotional and spiritual uplifting that we get from music. Every rhyme of music has a special connection to help patients in terms of providing soothing effect to heart diseases, weaknesses, insomnia, dementia as well as cancer. Music evokes emotions that bring memories.
