KATHMANDU, JULY 25
Work is in full swing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) as construction on a new taxiway and apron facilities continues alongside regular flight operations.
These images captured on Thursday, show aircraft preparing to take off, landing, and parked on the tarmac as heavy machinery and construction crews work in the background-presenting with the balancing act between infrastructure upgrades and maintaining daily air traffic.
The ongoing expansion is part of a broader effort to enhance the airport's capacity and efficiency. Once completed, the new taxiway and apron area are expected to reduce congestion and improve overall turnaround time for flights at Nepal's only international gateway.
