ACPL: Tigers, Lions make winning start

KATHMANDU: Bangladesh Tigers and Sri Lankan Lions recorded wins in the Asian Club Premier League here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium today.

Tigers saw off Afghanistan Bulls by three runs, while Lions defeated Indian Stars by 53 runs.

In the first match played for 18-over per side, Tigers scored 101-8 after put into bat first before Bulls were packed for 98-7.

Tigers’ Quazi Zeesan Ahmed hit 19-ball 27 and Karan Gupta remained unbeaten on 17 off 13.

Bulls’ skipper Rana Naveed Ul Hassan claimed three wickets and Pawan Yadav took two wickets.

In second match, Lions scored 157-7 in their allotted 20 overs before restricting Stars for 101 runs in 15 overs.
