ANFA announces 23-member U-16 Qualifiers squad

All Nepal Football Association today announced the 23-member squad for the AFC U-16 Championship 2018 Qualifiers to be held at the Nepal APF Club grounds in Kathmandu from September 20-24.
The squad comprises of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and five forwards. Bishal Sunar, Siddhartha Thapa Magar and Rohit Karki are the custodians, while Roshan Dong, Randip Paudel, Deepak Bhandara, Ashim Gurung, Subash Karki, Sanjeev Aryal and Pukar Khadka are defenders.
Skipper Roshan Rana Magar leads the midfield along with Sherab Lo Tamang, Saugat Khawash, Sanju Shrestha, Karlosh Bhakariya, Ashok Kingring Magar, Anjan Maharjan and Darshan Gurung, whereas Abhishek Shrestha, Brijesh Chaudhary, Aakash Budha Magar, Ranjan Pun and Nishan Rawal are forwards.
Sunil Kumar Shrestha is the head coach, while Bikash Malla is the goalkepeeping coach. Sanoj Shrestha and Nabin Maharjan are assistant coaches. Rabindra Joshi is the team manager, while Takeda Chiaki is the technical director. Sumit Shrestha is the team physio and Achyut Raj Ghimire is the official.
Nepal are pitted in Group D along with Iraq, India and Palestine. The home team will open the campaign with a match against Iraq on Wednesday before facing India two days later. Nepal will play their last match against Palestine on September 24.
