ANFA names squad
KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association on Thursday announced the 29-member team for the SAFF U-15 Championship beginning here on Friday.
Nepal U-15 head coach Sunil Shrestha picked up 23 players for the Championship.
Rohit Karki, Roshan Dong, Deepak Bhandara, Sanjib Aryal, Niraj Chaudhary, Randip Paudel, Roshan Rana Magar (Captain), Bipin Thapa Magar, Abhishek Shrestha, Birjesh Chaudhary, Ranjan Pun, Anjal Maharjan, Ahsim Gurung, Darshan Gurung, Karlosh Bakhariya, Bishal Sunar, Saugat Khawas, Akash Budha Magar, Shishir Lekhi, Rosan Thapa, Subash Karki, Nishan Rawal and Ashok Kingring made the cut in the youth team.
Others in the squad included Rabindra Joshi (Team Manager), Takeda Chiaki (Technical Director), Bikash Malla (Goalkeeper Coach), Raju Dahal (Physio) and Achyut Raj Ghimire (Official).
Nepal are in Group B along with India and Maldives.
The hosts will open the campaign with a match against Maldives on August 21 before facing India two days later.
