ANFA announces squad for friendly

Lalitpur, March 23:

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) today announced a 26-member national team two-game friendly matches against Pakistan to be held in Pokhara on March 25 and 27.

ANFA has selected eight defenders and midfielders each, six strikers and four goalkeepers. Among the goalkeepers are Bikash Malla (Tribhuvan Army Club), Ritesh Thapa (Nepal Police Club), Surendra Shrestha (New Road Team) and Kiran Chemjong (Nabil Three Star Club).

Rakesh Shrestha (NPC), Anjan KC (Three Star), Bikash Singh Chhetri (Three Star), Lok Bandhu Gurung (Three Star), Sagar Thapa (NRT), Umesh Upreti (NRT), Biraj Maharjan (NRT), Chun Bahadur Thapa (TAC) have been selected as defenders. Among the midfielders are Rajesh Shahi, Vishan Gauchan, Bijay Gurung, Pradip Maharjan and Sandip Rai of Three Star, and TAC’s Raju Tamang and Bishwo Bairag Samal.

Called up to take up the responsibilities of forward are Yugal Kishor Rai and Santosh Sahukhala of Three Star, Anil Gurung (NRT), Ju Manu Rai (NPC), Ganesh Lawati (APF) and Bharat Khawas (NIBL Friends Club).
