KATHMANDU: Diwana Sherma of Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Sabitri Tamang of Nepal APF Club advanced to the final of the Open National Boxing Championship here on Monday. In women’s 46-48kg weight category, Sherma defeated Sita Pathak of Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC), while Tamang beat Kusum Tamang of Naxal. In women’s 48-51 kg category, Mala Rai of APF and Sanju Lama of TAC advanced to the final, while Maya Chaudhary of APF and Lalita Maharjan entered the 64-69kg weight category final. In men’s 49kg, Tej Bahadur Deuba of TAC and Madan Krishna Dangol of BTF booked their places in final. In 52kg weight category, Prem Chaudhary of APF will face Laxman Tamang of TAC in the final.
