Boys Union Club, Shree Mahakali Wine ink sponsorship deal

The B division tier Boys Union Club signed a 1.5 million rupees sponsorship deal with Shree Mahakali Wine (P) Ltd, the manufacturer of Divine Wines, for a year here today.
Boys Union Chairman Shatrughan Raj Bhandari and Kishmat Adhikari, chairman of Shree Mahakali Wine, signed the memorandum of understanding for a year amid a programme. As per the MoU, the club have to use logo of Divine Wine on their jersey and club’s name will be named as Divine Boys Union Club. The club will also be brand ambassador of the company.
“We decided to sponsor the club because the government was reluctant to invest in the sports sector. Similarly, financial crisis of the club also compelled us to support them. And I hope the club will get promotion into the A division,” said Adhikari, who also stated that the sponsorship deal could be extended later on. Boys Union Chairman Bhandari said the agreement had encouraged the club. “The sponsorship will be supportive to maintain the identity of the club,” he said. The club was established in 1952 and are currently playing B division league as they got relegated from A division in 2013-14 season. Last time, they were promoted to A division in 2013. They had also played A division football in the past.
