Brihaspati and Gyan Niketan in boys’ section and LRI and Valley Public in girls’ section entered the final at the first Valley Public Valleywide Basketball Tournament here on Friday. In the boys’ semi-finals, Khagendra Limbu scored 16 points as Gyan Niketan defeated hosts Valley Public 45-15, while Brihaspati registered a 50-48 victory over Himalayan Model School riding on Nitesh Katuwal’s 24 points. In girl’s semi-final matches, Sarita Shrestha netted nine points in Valley Public’s 25-10 win over Kantipur, whereas Shristi Thapa scored 10 points as LRI edged past Shrine Academy 18-16.
