KATHMANDU: The Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBFIN) has expressed strong reservations against the physical attacks and illegal activities that are continuously being carried out by various individuals, organisations and groups against the employees of banks and financial institutions, their assets, among others.
The confederation has said its seventh meeting held recently has decided to take legal action against any person or organisation engaging in such activities, as per a media release.
The confederation has also request the concerned authorities to make effective security arrangements for banks and financial institutions and all their employees.
"If the government of Nepal and the concerned agencies cannot ensure safe and secured working environment for banks and financial institutions to carry out their duties and responsibilities, then all the institutions licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank may have to halt their services."
