DAMAULI: Surendra Chapagain won the Sachin Memorial Open Race here on Saturday.

Chapagain finished the 8km race in 32 minutes and 34 seconds to finish first ahead of Anil Majakoti (33:10) and Arun Karki (33:36).

Namrata Gurung won the race in women’s section. A total of 59 athletes took part in the event organised by Rotaract Club of Tanahu.

Spokesperson of Byas Municipality Mohan Kumar Shrestha handed over the prizes to the winners.
