Civil Bank defeat ICFC, win Super Sixes crown

Civil Bank defeated ICFC Finance by three runs to win the title of the Century Bank Corporate Super Sixes here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium today.
In the final match, Civil Bank scored 80-3 in their allotted five overs after opting to bat first and restricted ICFC to 77-6. Civil Bank’s Bhola Bista scored 16-ball 23 with the help of a four and two sixes, while Manish Singh remained unbeaten on 19 off nine balls hitting two boundaries and a six. In reply, Sagar Nidh Tiwari of ICFC cracked two each fours and sixes in his 12-ball 25, while Arbin Rana added 11-ball 21 with the help of three boundaries and a six.
Earlier, in the semi-final matches, ICFC defeated NIC Asia Bank by 34 runs, while Civil Bank saw off defending champions Century Bank by eight runs.
Meanwhile, Century Bank’s Suraj Timalsina was named the best player of the tournament and also got the award for hitting the most number of sixes. Similarly, Subash Sharma was named the best wicketkeeper and Keshab Rawal got the best fielder’s award.
Similarly, Civil Bank’s Bhola Bista was declared the player of the final and also won the best bowler’s award. Arbin Rana of ICFC was adjudged the best batsman. A total of 24 teams participated in the tournament organised by SS Events. Century Bank Chairman Rajesh Kumar Shrestha handed over the trophies to the winners.
