Coach Roy Luke Dias said that the tour will be one of the preparatory events for the upcoming ACC Trophy to be held in Malaysia from June 12. "Playing against Test-playing nations in different conditions and pitch would be helpful for the boys," said Dias.

"I will take these boys to Sri Lanka for a week before heading towards Malaysia and I am even thinking of asking Chaminda Vaas to take a lecture there for the boys," he said.
