England win toss and bat against West Indies

RIVERSIDE: England captain Andrew Strauss won the toss and elected to bat against the West Indies in the second Test at the Riverside here on Thursday.

Both sides were unchanged from the first Test at Lord's last week which England won by 10 wickets, with more than two days to spare, to go 1-0 up in this two-match series.

This was England's last Test before their home Ashes series against Australia, starting in July.
