LALITPUR: Maya Universe Academy and St Xavier's Godavari School advanced to the semi-finals of the 25th Father Moran Memorial Primary School Invitational Football Tournament here on Thursday.
Maya Universe defeated Bhaktapur NIST School 6-1 riding on four goals from player-of-the-match Ebash BK.
Syaron Katuwal and Amir Dura added one goal each for Maya Universe, while Suprim Magar scored the consolation goal for Bhaktapur NIST.
In another quarter-final match, hosts SXG beat Little Angels' School 3-0 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. Sandesh Tudu scored a brace for SXG, while Smit Rawat netted two for LAS.
Thangsang Sawa of SXG was named the player of the match. S
XG will face Modern Indian School, while Maya Universe will take on Nepal Don Bosco School in semi-final matches on Saturday.
