Kathmandu, July 4:

Sanjeev Pariyar struck twice while Pradeep Giri and Chet Narayan Shrestha scored a goal each as Naxal Yuva Mandal defeated Deepshikha Club 4-1 to enter the Super League, topping Group B at the Martyrs’ Memorial ‘C’ Division League Football Tournament, here today.

Sanjeev Waiwa netted a consolation goal for Deep-shikha. The loss means Deepshikha are relegated from C Division, along with Yellow Star Club, who lost to Samakhushi Club 2-4.

For Samakhushi, Deepak Ale scored a hat-trick and Krishna Tamang netted the other whereas Basanta Gurung and Niraj Gurung got one each for Yellow Star. Also, Gyan Bhairav Club and Samajik Youth Club played a 2-2 draw but Gyan Bhairav made it to the Super League, topping Group A on better goal difference with Samajik. Ramesh Man Singh Basnet scored both goals for Gyan Bhairav whereas Niraj Khadka and Umesh Khadka netted for Samajik Club. In the other match, Garuda Sports Club blanked King Come Club 2-0 on goals from Santosh Balami and Laxman Phuyal.
